Immune system, Immunopathology, immunogenetic and pharmacology of immunomodulators; viral morphology and life cycle, pathogenesis and pathology of viral infection, epidemiology, protection and prevention in viral infections with impact on health in Thailand, emerging viruses, laboratory techniques to investigate and diagnosis of virus infection and pharmacology of antiviral drugs; general pathology such an cellular adaptation, cell injury and death, inflammatory response and wound healing and repair, hemodynamic disturbance and introduction to neoplasia.

Morphology,  pathogenic mechanism and laboratory diagnosis of bacteria and fungi commonly found in Thailand;  pathogenesis and pathology related to bacterial and fungal infection;  pharmacology of therapeutic antimicrobial agents; holistic control and prevention of infectious diseases both individual and community, and basic laboratory skills for diagnosis of infectious diseases.
